It was the blue hour before sunrise at Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge. Behind me I heard the Snow Geese blastoff from pond inside the main refuge. Moments later they swirled around me and began landing in the water basin in front of me. I had been setup to capture the motionless Sand Hill Cranes across the water (long exposure), so my first shot captured the Snow Geese a blur around me, but I ended up liking the abstract sense of motion and the colors of the blue hour.
