Market day in Bac Ha, Vietnam. Sellers are inciting their water buffalos to show off their power, while buyers line up to evaluate their prowess. Large horns are everywhere, huge bodies are snorting, hooves are pawing and yet this young child stood calmly next to his father amidst the chaos. It was not his first time to the weekly market.

Practicing my panning shots, I saw this young girl pedaling fiercely along the road in Hoi An. I loved the outfit, the bicycle and the intensity of her efforts. As I clicked the shot another cyclist passed in front. I thought I'd missed it, but instead the other cyclist helped frame the shot and convey the speed of the young girl.
